I have a Kimber Pro TLE II that I had quite a bit of problems with out of the box. It eventually broke in nicely, and it continues to be my EDC. But the next 1911 will not be a Kimber.

I just bought an Ultra Carry in 9mm and am "tuning it up". It too is a great little pistol. For the money in a carry gun, the CDP is the better buy, unless you can find an Ultra TLE II. Checkering and night sights for under $1k.It is going to be a Kimber and it is going to be either the Pro Carry or the Ultra Carry. Pro Carry is full size frame (alloy) and 4" slide. Ultra Carry is officer frame and 3" barrel. I really prefer commander length pistols, so I am leaning toward the Pro Carry..
