The SN is on the bottom of the butt frame, under the grips, perhaps also under the bottom side of the barrel, and/or on the rear of the cylinder. We would really love some well-lit, higher resolution pics, to nail this down.Over the years I’ve made no secret of my opinion there’s nothing really special about the .44 Special. It’s a fine old low-velocity, big-bore handgun round no better and no worse than several others.
