You shouldn't be clamping the receiver to remove muzzle devices. This can stretch the entire receiver body. It's only aluminum. You need to clamp the barrel as close to the device as possible or use a barrel extention bar that locks the lugs. Virtus barrels are slightly heavier, and the 16" 5.56 needs heavy ammo to group well - doesn't like 55g at all! These barrels are expensive, and if you can find them - you'll probably get a much better deal on legacy ...The buffer tube is gone with the adapter. So you're essentially dedicating a lower to it to the mcx upper. If I remember correctly the kit comes with a hinge adapter that you can use with a standard buffer tube if you wanted to.
