No other markings can be found except for the number 0 (zero) stamped on the bottom of the pistol grip.That serial number was probably made late 1943, I doubt it came from the factory with a milled adjustable rear sight. The stake marks are evidence of an adjustable rear sight being installed, but that would have been later. The blow-back action requires a much heavier reciprocating mass to keep the bolt closed long enough to allow safe opening.
