Have a 214 with manual pto that screeches when you engage. Have tried to adjust per manual. The more load (heavier grass) the more it screeches. Material on cone is in good shape and not badly worn. In most cases there are issues getting the PTO to run because it is being disabled by an interlock. In other cases the tractor "thinks" the PTO is engaged so it kills the engine.
