Often, even a disc with significant damage can play back flawlessly.Well, after I got it in the mail, the first cd I put in was a brand new cd I had just purchased, never played, and only 30 seconds into the first song, the cd player started skipping, or continuous stuttering for about three seconds, sitting flat on my dining room table!! So I played that cd on my stereo and no skipping. .
