I was...The ropes are lighter and overall quieter. I do have the buckles on the straps covered with kayak grips but even just pulling the strap tight can cause a bit of noise on quiet days. The ropes also "slide" up and down on the tree easier once the stick is set so you can make a small adjustment here and there if necessary..
