The MAF looks good and I checked the TPS and got a steady graduation of resistance but I'm not sure what the Ohm range is supposed to be it was reading between 1.5 and 2.2 ohms with the multimeter set to 20K.The Optima uses the larger Theta II 2.4L engine and the Soul uses either the Nu 2.0L or the Gamma 1.6L engine. The recalls on your car would have extended the warranty (KSDS) to 15 years 150K miles if it was done right away. But they won’t warranty it if the engine fails and the recall wasn’t done.The misfire only happened coming to a stop or at idle still. I read codes one last time and additionally it showed P0300, random misfire. Waited an hour for the dealer to diagnose. They found the same two codes and somehow concluded that the 'oil control valve' was sticking intermittently causing the misfires.Almost every car engine, going way back, will start at a high RPM and slowly drop as it warms up. 500 to 800 is typical for most car engines and will vary from engine to engine. The idle on the Kia Soul is controlled by the ECC, not a set screw as on the old NA engines of the past. It is what it is.DEALER SAID KIA HAS PROBLEM WITH HIGH IDLE. I posted before about a high idle at startup when the car sits overnight. If the car sits out or in the garage it idles up to 2600-2700 rpms then drops. I took a video the other day, it was 47 degrees out and it revved up. I showed the service dept. and he said there is nothing he can do..
