The warrior dreams (graves) and the dream bosses add up to 2700 essence, without counting the trees. Since you only need 1800 to awaken the dream nail, it is highly unlikely you've defeated all of those. There are 7 warrior dreams for a total of 1100 essence. Contact damage and physical attacks now deal two Masks of damage, while shockwaves and falling barrels still deal one Mask. In ... I beat the No Eyes warrior grave boss, but I died immediately after dealing the killing blow by landing on spikes while on 1 health. I go back to the boss room, and the boss is dead, but I have considerably less than 200 Essence, and the guide I read says you get 200 Essence for killing him. Am I screwed out of the True Ending, now? Is there a way to edit my save file to give myself 200 Essence?First of all, getting to 2400 and/or completing the journal doesn't count towards the 100% completion (the one you see ingame). It's only for your own personal sense of completion. However, it's possible that you might be missing a non-optional (so to speak) boss fight for the 100% completion, or maybe a notch, vessel shard, mask shard, etc.Off the top of my head, the single essence ghosts that are spread over the map (i.e. not in the Glade of Hope) are the following: Cloth (Traitor Lord fight in Queen's Gardens, missable) Joni (Howling Cliffs) Marissa (Pleasure House in City of Tears) Poggy Thorax (secret room in elevator shaft of Pleasure House).
