Remove the bottom panel from the GE oven, then open the oven door. Locate the ignitor cover plate in the back of the oven, then slide it open and disconnect the ignitor’s wires. Follow the wires to the ignitor and unscrew it, removing it from the oven. Turn the glass cover 1/4 turn counterclockwise. The tabs on the cover should clear the grooves of the socket.
