Space allow for more easy playing of bell low notes too. The mute looks nice with a cool shape, it's classy. There are mount and hole for mic/wire, and a hole to hold a lyre for reading music.

In my experience, the Mark III is the most powerful and clearest of all FG models. Very direct sound. I prefer something a little more complex, so I favor the Mark IV over the Mark III. Lately I’ve been noticing a lot of positive reviews of their products, particularly their saxophones, in Facebook forums.Last year I purchased a Selmer Mark VI low Bb baritone from 1957, and I am currently enjoying practising and playing on the horn. I own two Mark VI altos, one from 1961, the other from 1971. The Yamaha 875EX II is definitely one of if not the finest alto saxophone made whether Wally argues such or not. The only disagreement I have with Wally is the quality of the V1 neck.
