This then triggered a joint memory, about a tickle scene in a cartoon where a character is being tortured, a roll of equipment and scary utensils is unraveled and the last one is a feather and the goodie is super scared. Its a japanese cartoon but not anime in the mainstream sense - it is arthouse or adjacent. The only way i was able to explain it to my brother was "inception for cats".
